Standing approx.1500 feet above sea level in the Northern Pennines (designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) Parkhead Station marks the 100 mile point on the renowned C2C long distance cycle route on the traffic free section of the Waskerley Way and all down hill to the end!Parkhead is ideal base if you wish to take some time to visit the many other attractions Wear Valley have to offer: Killhope Lead Mines, Dales Centre, Stanhope Village and numerous long/short walking routes.
